
The "Pretzel City" Bundle is the one of the first pilot 6261 Ministry Communities in the NEPA Synod!
It includes one of the NEPA Synod's 3 Synod-Authorized Worshipping Communities along with 6 congregations located primarily in the northern and western areas of the city of Reading - along with one congregation on the more rural edge of the eastern edge of Reading.

The Primary Ministry of Project of the Reading “Pretzel City” 6261 is a Food Web Ministry which cultivates, nurtures, harvests, prepares, distributes, and feasts in a variety of ways together and within the community. Grounded in Matthew 25, check out the various ways this Bundle is enriching others and being nourished in return via the Food Web Ministry.




Food Bank Pantry Locations & Distributions
· St. Paul’s - the 1st Monday of the month at 10:30 am for Seniors, followed from 11:00 am- 2:00 pm for everyone
· Christ (Glenside) - the 2nd Monday of the month from 9:00 am – Noon + Senior Boxes on the 4th Friday of the month from 9:00-11:00 am
· Bethany – the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9:30 am – Noon
· Hope – the 4th Tuesday of the month from 9:00-11:00 am
· Zion Spies relates to the Friedens, Oley free outside pantry box
Gardens & Meals
· Hope’s Table – join for a free meal every Tuesday at 5:30 pm and stay for a short worship starting at 6:00 pm
· FREE Bread distribution – stop by to help or bring someone who needs the free bread distribution (from Panera) every Tuesday at Hope's Table and on the 1st Monday of the month at St. Paul's, Reading.
· Hope and Hope’s Table – join in the cycle of gardening - the produce supports Cafe Esperanza, Hope's Table, and local food banks
· Zion Spies – join in the cycle of gardening
· Christ (Glenside) – join us in the cyle of gardening
· Election day meals - several congregations serve/sell meals on election days
